2005: Shadow Moses Island off the South-West coast of Alaska:
Solid Snake has just blown a fully armed HIND-D out of the sky and is on his way to take down Metal Gear Rex, once and for all.
Meanwhile, Snake Eyes has been dispatched to Shadow Moses by G.I. Joe to investigate Foxhound’s relationship to Cobra and subdue, or if necessary, assassinate Liquid Snake.
The helicopter’s explosion draws Snake Eyes to the tower, where he sees what appears to Liquid Snake (albeit with darker and shorter hair) holding a smoking Stinger launcher and armed to the teeth with a FAMAS assault rifle, an enhanced HK-MK23 SOCOM 9mm Pistol, and several grenades. Weilding his Arashikage katana and a standard issue G.I Joe 9mm Colt M-9 semi-automatic handgun, Snake Eyes leaps at Solid Snake and slashes the Stinger in half.
“JEEZ-US!” Snake barks as he springs back, reflexively drawing his SOCOM in the process. “How many damn ninjas does this place have?”
”*,” Snake Eyes doesn’t flinch.
“Alright, fine,” Snake growls. “Don’t talk to me. It’ll be nice to have a fight where my opponent doesn’t feel the need to monologue!”
